IROC Inspired Beauty
This 911 is a 3.2 Carrera. It has undergone a tribute IROC body transformation to enhance its commanding presence on the road. The interior combines elements from the 3.2 Carrera with components from Rennline. Originally equipped with the standard 3.2 engine, the owner entrusted us with a mission to align its performance with its exterior aesthetics.

We meticulously engineered an engine, rooted in the original powerplant, which now boasts a 3.4-litre capacity, equipped with Mahle Motorsport cylinders and pistons. The heads received twin-plug modifications, featuring a distinct twin-distributor setup, accompanied by twin CDI units and coils for an aesthetic reminiscent of the classic RSR. We adopted PMO carburettors in place of mechanical fuel injection, akin to Weber carburettors, achieving a period-correct appearance while not adhering strictly to historical accuracy.
The twin-plug configuration grants us the ability to run a higher compression ratio without encountering detonation issues. Our skilled technicians meticulously mapped the ignition timing curve with the CDI systems. Extensive tuning efforts were invested in calibrating the carburettors to ensure a harmonious driving experience on the street, while maintaining formidable track performance. As a result, the car handles much like a typical road-going 911, yet it delivers an impressive 360 horsepower from its 3.4-litre engine. This level of power from a 3.4-litre engine is notably exceptional.

The exhaust system utilises SSI headers, preserving the heater function and other standard features. We have crafted adapter pipes that lead to a 991-GT3 rear muffler with twin outlets positioned in the centre. This configuration strikes a balance between sound and functionality. The result is a car that offers a refined and practical road-driving experience. It remains tractable, even from as low as 1500 revs, and behaves remarkably normally until the engine's revs surpass approximately 4500, at which point all hell breaks loose.
