Porsche 910 to FIA specifications

Porsche 910 to FIA specifications

We have an exciting new project underway at the workshop!
McKernan Restorations in QLD is currently working on building a replica Porsche 910 to FIA specifications. For this project, we will be responsible for building the engine and gearbox. Additionally, we will be putting the engine on the dyno to tune and run it in, ensuring it's ready to use upon delivery.
The 2-litre engine will be a standout feature, boasting Mahle pistons and barrels (80mm set) with a 10.3:1 compression ratio. To achieve this, we will meticulously machine the crankcase, repair the studs, and perform a line bore. The engine will also include an early model mechanical injection fuel pump, which differs slightly from the 2.7 Carrera style pump, being an inline pump rather than a staggered style. Furthermore, it will feature racing slide throttles, titanium connecting rods, and centre oil-fed camshafts, all meticulously reproduced to meet FIA-approved specific period engine requirements.
